Welcome to Edge City. By accessing or using our website at edgecity.live, registering for any Edge City event, or otherwise engaging with our programs, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before participating.
Edge City is a project of Edge Institute, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 99-2785973). Edge City organizes popup villages around the world, bringing together participants from technology, science, and culture for monthlong collaborative residencies and community experiments.

All ticket sales for Edge City events are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase. Tickets are non-transferable and may not be resold without prior written consent from Edge City.
Edge City reserves the right to modify event pricing, schedules, locations, and available programming at any time. Registration for any event may be subject to an application and approval process at our sole discretion.
We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any registration and issue a refund at our discretion if we determine, for any reason, that a participant's attendance would not be appropriate.
All participants in Edge City events are expected to uphold the following standards of behavior:
Edge City events may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for promotional, educational, and archival purposes. By attending an Edge City event, you grant Edge Institute, Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use your likeness in photographs, videos, and other media captured during the event for these purposes.
If you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, please inform an Edge City staff member at the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, but cannot guarantee the complete absence of incidental capture in group settings.
Participants may take personal photos and videos at events for non-commercial use, but must obtain consent from individuals before publishing or sharing images that prominently feature them.
Participation in Edge City events involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: travel to and from event locations, physical activities, exposure to various environments and climates, and interaction with other participants.
By registering for and attending an Edge City event, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your participation. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to release, waive, and discharge Edge Institute, Inc., its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, and agents from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of or in connection with your participation in any Edge City event.
Edge Institute, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your participation in events or use of the website.
All content on the Edge City website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Edge Institute, Inc. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without prior written permission.
Any content, ideas, or materials you share, present, or create during Edge City events remain your own intellectual property. However, by participating, you grant Edge Institute, Inc. a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to reference and describe such content in promotional and educational materials related to Edge City.
Edge City offers various grants, fellowships, and residency programs. Acceptance into any program is at the sole discretion of Edge City. Program terms, conditions, and deliverables will be communicated separately to accepted participants and may include additional agreements.
Edge City reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any program at any time without prior notice.
Your use of the Edge City website and participation in our events is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
Edge City may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the website or participation in Edge City events after any modifications constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your participation in Edge City events shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Travis County, Texas.
