We build living labs to experiment with new ideas, technologies, cultures, and organizations. All with the goal of advancing human flourishing.

Next Up: Edge City India 🇮🇳

Edge City India is a three-week popup village on the northern coast of Goa, from October 11 to November 1, our first popup village in the country.

For three weeks, it's a living lab: founders, researchers, engineers, scientists, and creators gathering on the Northern coast to do the best work of their year together, anchored by a coworking space at TheCircle.Work and 8 to 10 themed residencies. You don't need to join a residency to come, many people attend solo and find their community once they're on the ground.

Note for Families: Edge Tomorrow, our kids program, is coming to Goa too!

The Million Dollar Jacket: Funding the next generation of builders at Edge City

In July, Long Journey Ventures and Edge City auctioned a leather jacket Jensen Huang donated at Sotheby's, and it sold for $960,000, sixteen times the estimate.

Major outlets covered the sale including CNBC and Fortune.

Every dollar goes to the Inflection Fellowship and Inflection Grants, our programs for frontier builders under 25, and the cohort it funds joins us in Goa this October.

What happened when AI agents moved into the village

This month we published the full research write-up from the Agent Village experiment at Edge Esmeralda, with Cosmos Institute. 239 personal agents, 17.5 billion tokens processed. Agents that allocated a $10K community treasury, wrote a living constitution, and brokered 147 human introductions out of 9,688 possible connections.

Here’s what happened:

Each agent was independent and persistent, with memory and tools, built on Hermes by Nous Research with models routed through OpenRouter. Index Network layered in a social "intent" system that let agents find each other for things like:

• Research collaborators and investors
• Hikes and salons
• Technical help
• Wonderfully niche subcultures
  

As agents got to know their users, they negotiated with other agents to make those connections. 67% crossed social clusters.

What four weeks produced:

• 239 agents
• 17.5 billion tokens
• 9,688 possible connections negotiated
• $10K community treasury allocated
• A living constitution
• 469 public forum posts

What one house can do in a month: An Edge Esmeralda Residency Recap, Recap!

Residency recaps dropped in July, all from Edge Esmeralda 2026, each one proof of what a month with the right people in one house can produce.

• The Consciousness Residency: 19 researchers, one house, one month. Four experiments running at once, four papers in progress, and one clinical feasibility study that went from idea to data in three weeks. Read the recap →

• Edge Tomorrow, our kids program: 32 kids from 22 families, treated as full citizens of the village for up to four weeks. They opened a snack business, built an escape room the adults could play, and one 8-year-old named Leo cooked a three-course dinner for twelve people. Read the recap →

Builder Spotlight: Kim Adams, Zee Prime Resident @ Edge Esmeralda 2026

Kim is building Naytive, an AI and cryptography platform that collapses the fragmented mess of cross-border immigration, banking, and tax compliance into one system. She spent June in the Zee Prime Deep Tech Residency, with Zee Prime Capital's own investment team living in the house alongside the cohort.
