What is
Edge City India?

Edge City India is a three-week popup village for the people building the frontier of technology, science, and culture.

From October 11 to November 1, founders, researchers, engineers, scientists, and creators gather on the coast of Goa to do the best work of their year together: deep coworking by day, talks and demo days through the week, and a community of peers operating at the highest level.

Our track record
Edge City has run nine popup villages since 2023, convening more than 12,000 builders worldwide, from Edge Esmeralda in California to Edge City Lanna in Thailand. Companies have been founded, research has been run, and rounds have been raised inside our villages. For the first time we bring this community to India, one of the world's largest builder ecosystems.
Why come?
It is the highest-leverage month of your year. Surround yourself with hundreds of the most curious, ambitious, and high-agency people across disciplines, and accelerate what you are building. Edge City India sits at the center of the autumn builder season, right after the Network State Conference and flowing into Devcon in Mumbai.
What’s it like?
Mornings start with movement or time in nature. Afternoons are for deep coworking and collaboration at The Circle, our beach-facing hub. Evenings bring fireside talks, workshops, demo days, and self-organized dinners. Focused programs and experiments run throughout, each a small group building around a shared frontier: AI, crypto, longevity, governance, consciousness, and more.

What is Edge City?

Edge City is a society incubator. We bring together builders, researchers, artists, and founders working at the frontier of technology, science, and culture to live and create together in popup villages. Since 2023 we've hosted nine villages around the world, from Edge Esmeralda in California to Edge City Lanna in Thailand and Edge City Patagonia in Argentina, convening more than 12,000 people. Each village is a place to prototype new ways of living, working, and flourishing together.

What is Edge City India?

Edge City India is a three-week popup village on the beaches of Mandrem, North Goa, running October 11 to November 1, 2026. We'll gather hundreds of builders, researchers, and creatives to live, work, and build together: beachside coworking, daily programming and salons, 8 to 10 focused residencies, and a rhythm of movement, good food, and community. It's our first village in India, and the next chapter in Edge City's journey around the world.

Why Goa?

Goa is one of the most beautiful and welcoming places in India: warm, walkable, and built for both deep work and real connection. We're basing the village on Mandrem Beach in the quieter stretch of North Goa, with The Circle, a beach-facing coworking hub, at the center. October into November is the start of Goa's dry season, right after the monsoon: lush green landscapes, warm ocean, and clear days.

There's a deeper reason for India, too. It's home to one of the world's largest and fastest-growing builder communities, and to living traditions (Ayurveda, yoga, and the study of consciousness) that few other places can offer. The timing is deliberate: Edge City India lands in the heart of the autumn builder season, flowing on from the Network State Conference and into Devcon Mumbai.

Who should come?

Edge City India is for people building at the edges: technologists, founders, researchers, scientists, artists, writers, and community builders who want a few weeks of focused work alongside an inspiring, multidisciplinary group. Whether you're shipping a project, exploring a new direction, or looking to connect with peers from around the world, you'll find your people here. It's open to all ages, and we welcome families.

Why San Martín de los Andes?
  • "Silicon Valley of Patagonia": Thriving crypto ecosystem - local businesses already using blockchain, the original home of Lemon (#1 crypto app in LATAM), with BIT as a established tech education hub.

  • Infrastructure + Nature: Own airport, walkable, safe, with stunning Andes/Lake Lacar backdrop for deep work and inspiration

  • Strategic Location + Timing: Natural springboard to Devconnect Buenos Aires right after (Nov 17 - 22) for extra convenience.

Goa has an incredible food scene, from beach shacks to world-class restaurants, all walkable or a short ride away. At the village, The Circle's terrace and restaurant will be a daily gathering spot, and we'll host community dinners for special occasions. Residency groups often cook and eat together too.

Do I need a visa?

Most international visitors need a visa to enter India. Many travelers are eligible for the India e-Tourist Visa, which you apply for online before you travel. Check your eligibility and apply early, as processing can take time.

What's the weather like?

October and November are a beautiful time in Goa: the monsoon has passed and the dry season is beginning. Expect warm, tropical weather: sunny days, lush green surroundings, and warm ocean water. Pack light, breathable clothing, swimwear, and sun protection.

Can I attend without joining a residency?

Yes. Many people attend solo or in small groups. You're welcome to join one of the residencies once you arrive, or simply plug into the wider village, where coworking, programming, and community life are open to everyone.

Can I start or host a residency?

Residencies are self-organized communities of around 5 to 50 people built around a shared theme. If you'd like to start one, mention it in your application or reach out to the team.

Can I bring my partner or family?

Edge City is multigenerational and family-friendly, so partners, children, and grandparents are all welcome.

What's the refund and transfer policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, but you can change your dates or transfer your ticket to someone else.

How do I find accommodation?

You organize your own housing. We suggest staying anywhere within walking distance from our co-working hub BIT

For month-long participants we have negotiated rates at our partner hotels which you can book directly here.

You can join our Residency & Housing Telegram Group and use our shared sheet to coordinate shared accommodations.

Do you offer ticket refunds if my plans change and I can’t attend?

We do not offer refunds. You are able to change the dates of your ticket to a different week. If you cannot attend but find someone to take your ticket, we’re happy to transfer it. Please email info@edgecity.live with the new attendee’s name and email address.

Community Guidelines
Our Foundation

Edge Cities are community gatherings focused on genuine connections, collaboration, and co-creation. The magic happens when people feel safe sharing challenges and are generous with knowledge.

Our guiding principle: Be interested and interesting.

When sharing, ask yourself: "Am I contributing to a conversation or trying to start a transaction?"

Core Values

Co-Create & Build Together - We're here to create, not just consume. Focus on tangible creation and real-world experimentation.

Push the Edge - Try new things and experiment on projects that might seem absurd but could change the world. Stay curious vs judgmental.

Healthy by Default - Daily movement and wellbeing practices. Commit to 30 minutes of activity and fuel your body with wholesome food. Leave healthier than when you arrived.

Multigenerational - From youngest to most seasoned participants, we celebrate the full spectrum of human experience and intergenerational learning.

Multidisciplinary - Breakthroughs happen where different fields intersect. We weave together diverse expertise for unexpected collaborations.

Community-First Approach

What We Love 💚

  • Share your work authentically with your "why," process, and lessons learned
  • Listen for synergies, offer expertise, and connect people who could benefit from knowing each other
  • Share insights, methodologies, and resources freely

What Doesn't Serve Our Community 👀

  • Sales-focused behavior or pitching products/services
  • One-way broadcasting without genuine interest in dialogue

When we foster space for vulnerability and encourage sharing, amazing things happen. Help us preserve the magic by choosing community over commerce.

Cultural Norms

Welcome the Unexpected - Magic emerges in unplanned moments. Stay open to stepping outside your comfort zone.

Embrace JOMO - Make deliberate choices about where to invest your energy, then show up wholeheartedly.

Show Up With Purpose - Engage deeply, volunteer, ask insightful questions, share work-in-progress.

Navigate Differences Thoughtfully - Approach disagreements with curiosity, listen actively, choose compassion.

Honor Our Host Community - We're guests in San Martín de los Andes. Engage respectfully with local customs and support neighborhood businesses.

A Culture of Giving Back

Everything at Edge exists because the community makes it possible. Your ticket, time, and contributions make this community feel alive. Support the experience you're enjoying and help others do the same. If you see someone who might not be aware of our guidelines, feel empowered to share them. We build this together, and it works when we all pitch in.

PRINCIPLES

Our villages are shaped by four principles:

Co-Create and Build

Hands-on experimentation toward new technologies, cultures, ideas, and organizations.

Healthy by Default

Daily movement, wholesome local food, and good habits, so you leave in better shape than you arrived.

Multigenerational

A full span of ages and life stages, from kids to elders, in one community.

Multidisciplinary

Breakthroughs happen where disciplines meet, so we mix scientists, artists, engineers, founders, and more.

Focus on Creation

At Edge Esmeralda, we’re focused on building, moving beyond mere consumption of knowledge. The emphasis is on hands-on applications and experiments, with the goal of fostering new technologies, cultures, ideas, and organizations during our month together.

Healthy by Default

Our village promotes health and longevity as a default. This includes organized community workouts, nutritious meals made from local organic ingredients, weekly farmers markets, and partnerships with local restaurants to minimize seed oil use. We aim for all participants to leave healthier than they arrived.

Multigenerational

Our community will include everyone from toddlers to centenarians, fostering an environment where different life stages interact and learn from each other, breaking away from the typical age-segregated settings.

Multidisciplinary

We believe that there is huge potential for breakthroughs at the intersections of disciplines. Edge Esmeralda is designed to foster collaboration between people with diverse expertise—scientists, artists, engineers, urban planners, philosophers, mechanics, and beyond.
