Edge City Patagonia wrapped a few weeks ago; it was an incredible month! Thank you to everyone who co-created it with us. Here’s a recap of what we built together.

“Innovation isn’t only about being cutting-edge… it’s about remembering how to be a kid while building what comes next” - Radiyya Hajat

“Global connection across disciplines, a nervous system and mindset reset, and a big bucket of hope I carry back with me to my default world” - Tessa

Remind me, what is Edge City?

Edge City is a society incubator that gathers people working at the frontiers of science, technology, and culture in month-long popup villages around the world.

We build living labs to experiment with new ideas, technologies, cultures, and organizations. All with the goal of advancing human flourishing.

We’re building towards a global network of temporary and permanent innovation hubs. Explore our roadmap to see how we plan to grow.

Collaboration is essential to achieve our vision. That’s why we aim to partner with folks who are interested in hosting residencies for builders, scientists, and artists at our popup villages. If you’re interested, please reach out here.

Edge City Patagonia: Recap

Our monthlong popup village in San Martín de los Andes was a living lab for exploring new ways of building and flourishing together. Read the full recap →

Key stats:
✨ 600+ builders, creatives, and researchers from 72 nationalities
✨ 150+ local Patagonian participants
✨ 62 kids who joined workshops and vibe-coded apps (50 locals)
✨ 100+ projects presented during the demo days
✨ 25 community-driven experiments

Structured around 11 residencies (spanning d/acc tech, AI, web3, consciousness, meditation, creativity, and regenerative practices) the village showed how living and building in proximity unlocks meaningful serendipity and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Beyond prototyping new tech and culture, we designed this environment to make it easy to live healthily and experiment with new forms of wellbeing. Daily exercise, healthy food, sauna + cold plunges, community dinners, and outdoor adventures became part of the shared rhythm.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined and co-created this month with us. Can’t wait to see you again at one of our gatherings in 2026!

A special shout-out to the local community and businesses in San Martín which whom we’ve built lasting relationships, as well as the amazing production team on the ground.

Edge Esmeralda 2026 (May 30 - June 27)

We’re excited to share that Edge Esmeralda is returning in 2026! ☀️

From May 30 – June 27, we’ll be back in Healdsburg, CA for a month of collaboration, co-living, and exploring what a society rooted in human flourishing can look like.

Co-organized with the Esmeralda Institute, this popup village is a testing ground for a future permanent village (Esmeralda) just 90 minutes north of SF.

Previous editions (2024, 2025) brought together builders from across tech, science, art, consciousness, governance, and other frontier fields. Many of the cross-disciplinary collaborations that formed over those four weeks carried on long after the popup village ended.

We recommend joining for 2–4 weeks to build deeper collaborations and integrate new ideas & habits into your daily life.

Until then:
