TL;DR
Step 1: Get application support from Naytive, Edge City India’s official visa partner. Check the official Indian visa website for eligibility, requirements, and processing guidance.
Step 2: Fly to Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, either direct through Gulf hubs or through Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore with a short domestic hop.
Step 3: Take a 40 to 60 minute cab from GOX to Mandrem. Pre-arrange a pickup with your accommodation or use the prepaid taxi counter in arrivals. Confirm the fare before traveling.

Edge City India runs October 11 to November 1 in Mandrem, North Goa, and builders, creators, and researchers are flying in from all over the world and India to be there. This guide covers the whole journey, from preparing your visa application to stepping out of the airport and into the village. With a little preparation we will make this one of the easiest long-haul journeys you’ll ever take.
The short version is that you’ll sort your visa online through Naytive, fly into Manohar International Airport (GOX) in North Goa, and take a 40 to 60 minute cab to your accommodation in Mandrem.

Step 1: Your visa

Tip: Check the application window and document requirements for your visa category early. Allow time for processing and use the photo specifications stated in the official application.
Step 2: Fly to Goa
Goa has two airports.
Manohar International Airport (GOX), also called Mopa, is your destination. It sits in North Goa, roughly 40 to 60 minutes from Mandrem.
Dabolim Airport (GOI) also works, but it’s in South Goa and roughly double the drive.
Most people either fly into GOX directly through Gulf hubs like Doha and Sharjah, or connect through Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore and take a short domestic flight to Goa. Check the routes from your home airport and book whichever works best for you.

Step 3: From the airport to Mandrem
Once you land, you have four ways to reach the village.
Check the community Telegram for confirmed group airport-transfer arrangements before booking your arrival.
Airport taxis can take you to Riva Beach Resort. Confirm the current fare and check-in location before traveling.
Pre-arranged pickups can be booked with your accommodation when you reserve your room.
GoaMiles is a local ride app. Download it before you land if you prefer booking on your phone; availability can vary.
Whichever you choose, save your accommodation’s location pin offline before you fly, since drivers often navigate by pin better than by street name. Wifi is also available in the airport, just in case!
Before you fly
Set up an eSIM before you leave home so you land with working data. Physical SIMs are available at the airport but take longer to set up.
Bring a card and some cash. Cards work at hotels and bigger shops. Carry some rupees for cafés and small vendors, and check your payment options before traveling.
Pack light and breathable. October in Goa is warm, so bring light clothes, swimwear, a layer for air-conditioned rooms, sunscreen, and mosquito repellent.
Bring a universal adapter. India runs Type C and D plugs at 230V.
Consider travel insurance for a three-week trip abroad.
When to arrive
Programming opens October 11, so aim to land on October 10 or the morning of the 11th. If you can come a day or two earlier, even better, since you’ll have time to settle in, get your bearings, and meet the early arrivals.

Getting around Edge City India
The village is built for walking via beach or transport via road. The Circle, Riva Beach Resort, and the beach itself are all close together in Mandrem, so most days transport will be limited.
For everything further out, you have options.
Scooter rentals are everywhere in Goa and cost a few dollars a day, and riding one is how much of the coast gets around. Bring a valid driving license if you plan to ride, and wear a helmet.
GoaMiles and local taxis cover the distance otherwise, and the community Telegram is the place to find people to share rides with.
You’re travelling with the village
The trip to Goa is easier with company, and the community Telegram is already full of people comparing routes, sharing layovers, and planning to land together. Post your dates and you’ll likely find someone on your flight and someone to split the cab from the airport.
