Grants and Fellowships

Edge City provides financial support to builders and researchers committed to accelerating human flourishing. We believe that removing financial barriers is essential to unlocking breakthrough innovation and fostering a community of exceptional talent. Our support programs are designed to both enable access to our ecosystem and fund projects with transformative potential.

1. Support to Attend Edge City

Edge City connects promising individuals with the resources, community, and environments where breakthrough ideas flourish.

Scholarships

We want to make Edge City especially welcoming to people like researchers, scientists, young builders, open source developers, and artists. We offer special rates for builders and scholars who add value to our community. When applying to attend a village, simply select "apply for a scholarship."

The Edge City Fellowship

The Edge City Fellowship is a three month long program that empowers young builders (under 25) dedicated to accelerating human flourishing across domains such as crypto, AI, governance, biotech, longevity, and hard tech. It includes:

• 1-2 months of funded work at an Edge City village
• Access to mentorship, workspaces, and the builder community
• Spring 2025 Fellowship: Edge Esmeralda (May 24 – June 21)

2. Grants to Build

‍We offer several grant programs to support builders and researchers:

Inflection Grants

Inflection Grants provide $2,000 for creative young builders (under 25) to turn unusual ideas into reality. We focus on turning points where a small push can make a big difference.

• $2,000 to build from anywhere
• Access to Edge City's community
• Opportunities for follow-on funding

For builders turning frontier technology into impactful companies.

• Funding starts at $10,000
• Support with company-building fundamentals

D/ACC Grants

For projects advancing decentralized acceleration (d/acc).

• Focus areas include biosecurity, cyber defense, cryptography, information resilience, neurotech, and social governance
• Micro grants ($5,000-$15,000) for prototypes, development grants ($20,000-$40,000) for scalable projects
• Designed for small teams, researchers, and startups working on projects with real-world applications in 6-12 months

For reviving valuable but overlooked research ideas.
